Every year, Trey's union, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, hosts a Christmas get together for the families at their union hall. It's very informal - there's a Christmas movie playing, you get your picture with Santa Claus, get a free stocking, there's always lots of vignettes set up around the hall for family photo opps. This is the first year we've been able to take Isabella, as it has typically fallen on a Sunday when we don't have her.
But this year, the whole family got to go, and we even met up with Aunt Jan, Jonna, Mason and Chase, who drove in from Hannibal for the event. And new this year, the Hall had a real reindeer to take photos with. He smelled pretty awesome, but I have to admit - he was pretty cool!

(Note: Ryan spit up for the first time, right down the front of my shirt, down through my boobs and onto my belly, right as we were sitting down for this photo. Hence the baby clutched to my bossom.)

If it's not one parent and kid...
....it's the other!
So our photo with Santa didn't really turn out great, but Isabella was rockin' it!
Afterwards, we went to Chuck E Cheese, aka the 5th Ring of Hell. Everyone thought I was crazy for taking a one week old to the Big Cheese, but I will tell you that it was actually really nice. We sat far back in a corner, and no one, I mean No One, came within 10 feet of us. Trey ran around with the kids, and I sat back alone, taking it all in.
The Hall was actually a much worse place to take Ryan, as it turned out. It's like going to a huge family reunion - you don't know most of the people there, but since we're all family, everyone feels they have the right to hover over you and your children. I had to physically back away from more than one person invading my and Ryan's personal space!
